# Credits, licences and attributions Kept from the first image rather than the last, as the brief asks. This file ships next to the page so that whoever puts it online has one place to look before it goes anywhere. --- ## Photographs All fifty-eight frames referenced by `index.html` were supplied with the project in `raw/images/` and are listed shot-by-shot in `raw/images/SHOTS.md`. Nothing on this page was fetched from the network, and no image is AI-generated by us. `site/images/manifest.json` is the machine-readable index: for every slot it carries the `IMG-xx` id, the block it sits in, the filename, the intrinsic dimensions, the aspect ratio, the written `alt`, the source class from the brief's shot list (`Paid` / `Free` / `Base` / `Shoot` / `Lagoon`), the priority, whether the page degrades gracefully without it, and the full list of JPEG, WebP and AVIF renditions by name. **Before this page is published, each frame needs its licence recorded in the table below.** The source class says where a frame is expected to come from; it is not a licence. | Source class | What it means | What has to be done | |---|---|---| | `Paid` | Adobe Stock, Getty or similar | Record the licence ID and the licence type. It is not a separate photograph and carries no separate licence — whatever clears IMG-01 clears it. It is the frame most people will see first, because it is what a messenger shows when the URL is pasted, so it is worth clearing first. `images/apple-touch-icon.png` is rendered from `favicon.svg`, which is drawn here. --- ## The one slot that is not merely paperwork **IMG-11 — the Molinière underwater sculptures.** Jason deCaires Taylor's installations off Grenada are artworks under copyright, not public-domain scenery. A photograph of them may need the artist's permission for use on a page like this one, separately from any licence attaching to the photograph itself. It is used once, at thumbnail size, in the week 2 card. **Either clear it or drop it.** The block survives without it: the week 2 card keeps its lead frame and three other thumbnails, the Molinière sculpture park stays in the dive table as text, and no layout depends on the picture. This is the single image on the page that should not be published on the assumption that it is fine. --- ## Aerial photography Several islands on this route restrict drone flying and at least one requires a permit filed in advance. Four frames read as aerial or drone work — IMG-01, IMG-02, IMG-06 and IMG-46. If any of them is commissioned rather than licensed, check the rules for that specific island before anyone flies. --- ## Type No font files are shipped. The page uses two system stacks: - **Serif** — `ui-serif, Georgia, "Iowan Old Style", "Palatino Linotype", "Times New Roman", serif` - **Sans** — `ui-sans-serif, system-ui, -apple-system, "Segoe UI", Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Arial, sans-serif` Nothing is downloaded at runtime and there is no webfont licence to honour. The trade-off is recorded in `DECISIONS.md`. --- ## The chart `index.html` block C and page 2 of `print.html` carry an inline SVG chart drawn for this page: 26 island coastline paths, 31 fathom contours, 21 soundings in metres, a 100-fathom contour, shelf shading, and six separately coloured legs. It was drawn from published island positions and small-scale bathymetry and then simplified. **No mapping library, no tiles, no basemap** — there is no third party to credit and no API key to hold. It is illustrative and **not for navigation**, which the page says under the chart in both documents. --- ## Region data Region names, counts and the fifteen NomadMania region IDs (1058 … 1096) come from the **NomadMania API**, checked August 2026, via **wanderfill** — `github.com/faeton/wanderfill`. The page credits wanderfill by name in block H and links to it, which is the only outbound link in either document. --- ## Visa research The Ukrainian passport column is reproduced from the project's own invitation document. The EU / EEA / Swiss column was researched for this build; every source consulted, what it established, and the four positions that could not be established are listed in `../SOURCES.md`.
